Kids have no respect for anything today. I also keep hearing about Deion Sanders who took a coaching job at a small college in Mississippi. He’s already had both his office and truck broken into and had sentimental items taken. And they’re right, these are players that don’t have to be there. I feel like this culture or even cancel culture, all this is going to catch up to us with a vengeance and these kids will be running the world, writing bills and passing laws.

I have been teaching for over 20 years. The first mistake I found in the apology was the young man calling Cam Newton, Cam Newton. Where is the respect for your elders? He would do better for himself referring to him as Mr. Newton being that they are not on familiar social terms and Cam Newton is his elder. I find many youth today very willing to make us "equals". With age comes wisdom. Notice how they make excuses for the young man due to his age. This emphasizes the point that there is a difference. You can't make everyone be on the same level and then talk about how some aren't fully developed yet. Fully developed and not fully developed are clearly different. Embrace the differences and move forward.
